Catherine Wilkins has recently begun teaching again at Thrush Hill studios, where she previously taught from 2008-2011. She has played with the Juneau Symphony, the Bach Society, Juneau Lyric Opera, the Amalga Chamber Orchestra, and other groups. In addition, she founded the Juneau Cello Choir. She has served on the Juneau Symphony Board of Directors and has been on the Juneau Alaska Music Matters (JAMM) Board since 2019. Catherine recently retired from her position as a construction project manager and architect, having worked for the city, state, and federal governments over the course of her career.

Catherine accepts Beginner and Advanced Beginner students, and enjoys working with both adults and children. She is a firm believer in the value of a musical education at any age, and the importance of music in enriching the human experience.
